De TaxiWijzer

Privacy policy of De TaxiWijzer

TaxiChatter processes data through De TaxiWijzer for partner applications, public company profiles, profile correction or removal requests, transactional emails and security.

Which personal data does De TaxiWijzer process?

A partner application may contain company and contact details, a Chamber of Commerce number, services, service areas, an optional logo, publication consent and a Taxi-ervaring link. De TaxiWijzer may also compile profiles from relevant business information made public by the entrepreneur. We do not include private details or information from restricted sources. Public details can still be personal data, especially for sole traders. Source links may be kept internally but are not shown on the public profile. Correction, objection and removal requests include the requester's name, email address, relationship to the company and any proposed details, explanation or logo.

Legitimate interests and information duties

The intended basis for manually compiled profiles is legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): maintaining an open, transparent and reliable taxi-company directory. This requires a substantiated assessment of the interest, necessity and the entrepreneur's interests, rights and freedoms beforehand. Public availability alone is insufficient. Prior consent is not required where processing meets these conditions. For indirectly collected personal data, we inform individuals within the GDPR time limits, within one month at the latest or earlier where the first communication or disclosure requires it.

Which service providers do we use?

Replit provides hosting and database storage from North America. Bird processes transactional emails, including company profile requests and any attached logos. Cloudflare Turnstile helps protect forms against automated abuse. Clerk is not currently used.

What happens when an application is deleted?

We delete the application, local delivery records and stored logo. Previously sent emails and copies held by Bird or recipients are not automatically deleted.

Retention of import data

For new Excel imports, we keep full profile snapshots only as long as needed to check safely for changes. Individual deletion, including after a manually reviewed request, also deletes the snapshot and import link. After a completed group rollback, we keep only the company name and outcome; existing snapshots are not cleaned up automatically.

How are company profile requests handled?

A request through 'Is this your taxi company?' is emailed to info@detaxiwijzer.com and is not carried out automatically. We review it manually. An uploaded logo is handled by Bird as an email attachment.

Right to object and removal (opt-out)

Entrepreneurs whose personal data we process, including sole traders, can object on grounds relating to their particular situation to processing based on legitimate interests (Article 21 GDPR). That processing stops unless compelling legitimate grounds or legal claims justify it. All listed entrepreneurs may also opt out without a required reason. We remove the public listing after verification. Use 'Is this your taxi company?' and choose 'Request listing removal', or email the business name and profile link to info@detaxiwijzer.com. We handle requests manually and respond without undue delay, within one month. Any necessary extension for a GDPR request, up to two further months, is explained within the first month. Any necessary retention remains limited and non-public. You can also request access, correction, restriction or portability and complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
